Yep..your recipe is just like mine and it is awesome. I like mine super hot so i add lots of fresh jalapenos, and dash of cayenne pepper.

Top it with fresh tomatoes to add a lil bit of coolness.....

Wow, lots of good ideas. As someone from the restaurant industry from my past life, I have seen too many Guac recipes to mention but I have learned some tricks from the chefs and cooks along the way. First, make your own salsa to add to your Guac and make it good. You literally only need that if you do it right. I like the orange idea and I will try that. Good salsa has fresh garlic and roasted tomatoes with lots of cilantro and those are the only secrets I will give at this time.

@Cameron

Thanks for stopping by. I like the idea of adding fresh squeeze citrus to the top before covering. The thing is that we never have left overs, maybe I just don't make enough guacamole?

@ domino. Citric acid is another good way to keep avocados/guac fresh. Since many recipes include lime, that or lemon are the two best ways to incorporate it. Before you wrap your leftover guac in plastic, squeeze a little lemon or lime juice on the top exposed part of the guac. If you have a cheese cloth or something similar, that will help minimize the excess juice soaking into the recipe and affecting flavor.

I just made this and it is superb! I made it with the green onions as well and I must say that it's the best guac that I've ever made. My daughter is into dipping her food, so next I will try the hummus:)

Thanks for all the yummy food ideas!

@Jeff - I would suspect that you use the quality extra virgin olive oil for this. Thanks for the tip, going to try this next time we make guacamole!
